Our rum revives the spirit of the first travelling rums, when every origin, every wood and every ageing shaped a different character.
In the heart of the maquis, we ferment Cuban molasses before distilling it over a wood fire. The rum then ages for more than two years in Corsican acacia and chestnut, where the aromas of the cane meet the floral, fruity and spicy notes of the wood. The finest casks are blended to find the right balance between cane and Corsican woods.
This edition, bottled From the Barrel at 48.7% ABV without filtration, reveals the full texture and richness of its aromas. Limited to a single 125-litre quarter cask, it expresses the whole character of our Corsican maquis rum.
This bottle comes from a micro-edition of less than 125 litres. Like a harvest, each edition carries its year and evolves with the seasons.
