Derived from the tradition of Cuban aguardiente , our rum originates on the estate with Cuban molasses fermented and then distilled over a wood fire to reveal the strength, substance and aromatic signature of our characterful distillates.
The typicality of the Corsican maquis is then revealed through a precise blend of botanicals and wild spices , which rests for a minimum of 3 months to bring a herbaceous and resinous note and anchor our rum in a unique island identity, between the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.
The entire blend is aged in chestnut or acacia barrels for a minimum of 12 months. , then bottled on demand, without reduction or filtration , in the spirit of cask strength rums .
Each bottling is thus a unique expression of time and wood.
